James M Gould

Mr. Gould is Chairman and Managing Partner of Management One, a sports management firm he founded in1994, that has represented approximately 90 professional athletes in the NFL and NBA, including DeVante Parker, Lil’ Jordan Humphrey, Frostee Rucker, Travaris Cadet, Terry Glenn, Peter Warrick, Dan “Big Daddy” Wilkinson, John Browning,Andre Smith, Sue Bird and the late Korey Stringer, and as a partner in Avondale Management Group, represented Evander Holyfield, four-time Heavyweight Champion of the World.  

Mr. Gould has more than 30years of experience in private equity and over 35 years of experience in development, marketing and negotiation related to investments in companies,real estate, sports and entertainment.  

Mr. Gould is the Founder,Chairman and CEO of Green Light Acquisitions, LLC and is responsible for thestrategic direction of the Company, structuring joint ventures, acquisitions,fund raising and financing. Mr. Gould was a Founder of Responsible Ohio thatraised $28 million for a Cannabis legalization campaign in 2015. In 2016, hewas named to the Ohio House Medical Cannabis Task Force by the Speaker of the House to assist the State of Ohio in its legalization efforts, which became law September 8, 2016. He is the Owner and Chairman of CannAscend Ohio.

He was a founder and Managing Partner of The Walnut Group, a private equity fund, and he is the Owner and Chairman of Gould Management Group. Mr. Gould has served on several Boards of Directors notably Build-A-Bear Workshop (NYSE: BBW), Wild Things, a designer of high end outdoor apparel and Lightbox OOH Video Network, a mall digital media network. 

Mr. Gould is a Founder and Managing Partner of Avondale Pictures and Avondale Entertainment Group. In addition, Mr. Gould has produced, distributed, and packaged numerous motion pictures, television and entertainment events and was a Founder and Partner in Triton Pictures. He has been a frequent investor in numerous acclaimed Broadway musicals including Smokey Joe’s Café, Topdog/Underdog, Hairspray, Jersey Boys,and Spiderman. Mr. Gould was a founding member of the United States Football League, and became President of the New Jersey Generals upon his selling the team to Donald J. Trump. During his years in USFL, Mr. Gould negotiated several major contracts on behalf of ownership, with such players as Lawrence Taylor,Cris Collinsworth, Craig James, and others.

Mr. Gould was the host of A Current Life, on Voice America, the world’s largest internet talk radio Network,His guests included Maxine Clark, Nicholas Sparks, Leslie Stahl, General Hugh Shelton, Bob Costas, Sela Ward, Marlo Thomas and Tyrese Gibson, just to name afew.

Mr. Gould graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in History and an Education Certificate.He is a co-founder and Chairman of the Board of the Advisors of the Korey Stringer Institute (KSI) in partnership with the NFL, Gatorade and the University of Connecticut, http://ksi.uconn.edu He has also served on other numerous non-profit boards including Prevent Child Abuse America, Blue Legacy International, Camp Bright Light in partnership with the YMCA, and The Cincinnati Ballet. Mr. Gould is active in sports and has coached his two sons in both soccer and football. He is proud of having climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, and residesin Cincinnati, Ohio.
